ONE OF THE FEW EIDER MUSEUMS.

In May 2019, eider breeder Eivind Hansen's museum was ready to receive visitors. Already on the opening day, about sixty people stopped by. -Impressive! was the most frequent comment we hear. The eider is probably our very first domestic animal. Here in our museum, everything that can be imagined from what belongs around the eider's distinctive place in our coastal culture is gathered.

Her er det både nostalgi og overraskelser å finne for den som tar seg en tur innom.

Together with good helpers, Eivind has both refurbished the building and in addition collected many things that are also an important part of our history: both Selværs and what belongs to life out here on the Helgeland coast.

The museum is located just a few minutes from the speedboat quay.

Opening hours: 24-7-365. This means that until further notice, the museum is open 24 hours a day.

Fri entrance.

If you have any questions, feel free to chat with Eivind: Mobile 416 38 827.

You must expect to come across the occasional surprise when you stop by, so take your time when you first stop by.
